The Nunton Unit comprises of an outpatient area with a reception, waiting room and clinic rooms to treat patients who have been referred from the community for Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (Frailty SDEC). The Unit is also the primary location for Medicine for Older People clinics eg. Falls Clinic, Rapid Access Clinic for Elderly Care (RACE), Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Clinic and General Elderly Clinic. Â
The office space within the unit is where the Discharge Team, Community Rehabilitation Team, Older Peoples Assessment and Liaison (OPAL) Service, Parkinson's Specialist Nurse, Elderly Care ÔÂÉ«Ö±²¥s and Secretaries, Stoke ÔÂÉ«Ö±²¥s and Secretaries, Emergency Department ÔÂÉ«Ö±²¥s and AMU ÔÂÉ«Ö±²¥s, Cancer Nurses, Medicine Service Managers, Operational Managers and Matrons are located.
The Nunton Unit was previously home to the outpatients Infusions Lounge. This service has now merged with Rheumatology and has moved to the Stour Infusion Unit on Level 3.
