Internships for Credit

Once you have accepted an internship, the Haile College of Business allows you the option to earn academic credit for your work experience. All internship courses require departmental permission. The process: 

  • In order to recieve adademic credit the student must be registered in the course while doing the internship. Credit can not be given retroactively. 
  • Review the criteria for earning academic credit based on your program (see below). 
  • In order to recieve academic credit, students need to "request an experience" through . Ask your academic advisor for instructions if needed.
  • Once your Handshake application is recieved it will be reviewed by the internship coordinator, the course faculty advisor, and your supervisor. 
  • If approved, you will be notifed that a permit has been created and you can register.
