The Foundation honored the Class of 2020 Scholarship Fund recipients at its 19th hall of fame dinner on July 26. Building off last year鈥檚 success, NKU and the Foundation recognized six students with scholarships up to 20,000. Four of the six recipients are attending NKU this fall.
鈥淐ommunity partnerships like this are as critical as ever. We are opening the possibility of a four-year degree to students who may not have had NKU on their radar,鈥 said NKU President Ashish Vaidya. 鈥淭his is what makes our region a special place, ensuring that young people will be prepared for success, not only as a student, but in their lives beyond the university.鈥

Last summer, NKU created the Educational Diversity Scholarship to support the Anthony Mu帽oz Foundation鈥檚 mission of impacting the Tri-state鈥檚 youth. Mu帽oz鈥檚 passion to help students reach their dreams of attending a local college or university complements NKU鈥檚 singular focus on advancing student success aligned with the needs of the region.
鈥淭he Foundation believes that a student鈥檚 potential should not be limited by their circumstances. Within our Impact Programs, we work to remove as many barriers as possible in order for students to thrive,鈥 said Mu帽oz. 鈥淥ur partnership with NKU is a natural fit, and we are fortunate to have so many strong collaborators empower deserving students to achieve their goals.鈥
